Of course, I’ve already spoken about the legendary Anne Hathaway’s performance on the Cannes film red carpet. But now, I would like to switch gears and speak about other head-turners. Firstly, we have Kat Graham. Katerina Graham attended the Top Gun: Maverick screening in a red gown with jewellery by Chaumet.
Katerina Graham in Chaumet
The vibrant red tulle flowed in tiers until the gown met the red carpet. But, the most beautiful part of this gown was the delicate bodice. Hidden amongst layers of tulle, was an extremely sheer corseted bodice that was not only extremely flattering but delicately beautiful. The elaborate gown managed to draw the eye to arguably the most simplistic part of the look.
The gown was paired with a simple makeup look that focused on beautiful glowing skin and a bronze eye. This perfectly complemented the bright colour of the gown. The simple diamond necklace also dropped to the perfect length just above the bodice of the gown.
Chanel Iman in Mônot and Pomellato jewellery
Secondly, Chanel Iman was also in attendance at the Top Gun: Maverick screening choosing to wear a white Mônot gown. The bright white gown featured an extremely high split and asymmetrical neckline. The neckline added an air of elegance to what is a beautifully simplistic dress. The flowing train gave the look of an almost bridal element. But this was undone by the more casual hairstyle donned by the model and the addition of chunky jewellery. A cooler and more youthful element to the look as a whole.
Cindy Bruna in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture
Next, French model Cindy Bruna stunned everyone at the screening of Armageddon Time at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. She took to the red carpet in an elaborate baby-pink tulle gown that featured an exaggerated silhouette and off-the-shoulder cut. The sheer volume of the gown was perfectly paired with the focus of the decolletage through this off-the-shoulder design. Moreover, it allowed for the perfect accessories of a diamond necklace and earrings shown off by the model’s slicked-back hairstyle.
Giambattista Valli has become the icon associated with these voluminous tulle gowns after they became increasingly popular amongst A-list celebrities. Ariana Grande and Kendall Jenner also follow the ‘high-low’ style that Cindy Bruna’s hair did. This is a trend that just keeps on giving.
Deepika Padukone in Sabyasachi
Deepika Padukone has been turning heads this Cannes Film Festival and she is yet to miss a beat. My personal favourite, however, is the black and gold saree by Sabyasachi that she wore as she walked the red carpet. The beautifully intricate saree was paired with a bold eye look and some statement jewellery pieces from Sabyasahi’s jewellery collection.
Caroline Daur at Cannes in Valentino
Next, Caroline Daur attended the screening of Final Cut in an on-trend hot pink Valentino mini-dress. The mini-dress was covered in detailed flowers. The embellishments created an intricate detailing across the retro silhouette of the dress as the various petals hit the light. Further creating a visual spectacle for those on the red carpet. The monochromatic look was paired with the trend piece of the season, Valentino platforms, and a Valentino clutch bag.
Soo Joo Park in Nensi Dojaka
Finally, Soo Joo Park took to the red carpet with L’Oreal in an ethereal gown by Nensi Dojaka. This is one of my favourite looks from the red carpet. The sheer white gown featured the designer’s trademark cut-outs and the detailing was delicate and graceful. The gown was paired with a pearl Chopard choker and platform heels. Starkly contrasting the delicate nature of the gown to create an interesting juxtaposition within the look.
