Labrum London SS25: Journey of Triumphs at Emirates Stadium
Emirates Stadium, the home of Arsenal F.C., hosted Labrum London’s latest collection (“Labrum London SS25”) within their extravagant grounds. If you weren’t already aware, Labrum shares a personal relationship with Arsenal due to working alongside the football club, producing their elite uniform partnered with the Emirates logo. It made sense that their collection was to be revealed amongst the stalls of Emirates.
I found myself in London for Fashion Week. I was honoured to accept an invitation on behalf of SSEDITORIAL, working as a press member and a magazine representative. Since this was my first event as part of the press, I was anxious, to say the least, but luckily, I overcame my nerves with my devotion to fashion.
I’m still in disbelief that I was lucky enough to witness this show first-hand, get the scoop on the garments, and view the show as a real-life audience member! The atmosphere was electric from the moment I walked toward the venue, and I was instantly papped. Many photographers and videographers were collecting content for the event, and I felt gorgeous in a chic outfit (if I do say so myself). All the guests were dressed excellently, and I understood I was part of something big.
“This is our journey of triumphs, designed by an immigrant at the Emirates stadium. Our collection showcases the beauty and resilience of those who dare to dream and chase their aspirations from struggle to triumphs.” – Labrum London
THE EVENT
Labrum London SS25
Naturally, the event was sponsored by Arsenal, Emirates, Adidas, and Dr Martens, who provided the venue, models, and footwear. Members from Adidas, Dazed and known sports presenters such as Alex Scott were in attendance to enjoy the show and capture the content of the collection.
To my surprise, once I checked Instagram after the show, I discovered Rizzle Kicks also attended! It was definitely an event to attend. It was thrilling to be in the presence of such highly praised people in the fashion and sports industry. Because it was based on my adoration for fashion, I felt right at home.

In anticipation of the show commencing, an introductory video was displayed on the stadium’s giant screens, providing a detailed background of the collection. It was a beautifully constructed compilation of videos and images that assisted in painting a picture of the brand, gazing into its African culture.
Labrum London SS25: The Music
To introduce the runway, a live poem unveiled the deeper connotation behind the garments, the passion in the productions, and the heart sitting behind the brand. It was an incredibly poetic and performance-based collection, accompanied by soulful words that curated sentences of significant meaning.
A live orchestra were the masters behind the music, bringing forward a divine selection of songs. The music exhibited forms of class and was a soothing attribution to the catwalk; it makes a change from a set playlist from a D.J. These instrumental pieces were soulful and relaxing, setting a good pace for the models walking.
The music is a crucial part of a show; if the music doesn’t fit the aesthetic, then it ruins the presentation, in my opinion. Numerous instruments involved classical African drums, reiterating the importance of culture and history.
Labrum London SS25: The Collection
The garments were of a sophisticated variety, and surprisingly, a handful of well-known football players walked by; they certainly knew what they were doing! Since I don’t personally follow football, I genuinely assumed that they were professional models. Football star Declan Rice wore one of my favourite looks from the entire collection; it held a sense of elegance and luxury, and the draped and wrapped fabric was stunning.

Avant-garde aspects were portrayed, including headwear, drapings of fabrics, and patterns throughout the collection. These applications came together to form high-fashion clothing, encapsulating truly chic styles. I adored the hats and headpieces the most, as they displayed such fashion-forward traits. Glamour and couture were defined greatly through the rounded black headpieces; these were a fantastic attribution to the runway and definitely show-stoppers.
Many of the ensembles exhibited modern chic, and paired with traditional African applications, they made for a creative blend of style. This consistently followed the theme, developing the concept and sticking to the ethos of the collection. Every walk told a story, laying down the details and emotions of the admirable “struggles to triumph.”

Labrum London SS25: Adidas vs Dr. Martens
Unfortunately, I’ve made the brave conviction that the additions of the Adidas trainers ruined some of the looks as they turned the sophisticated outfits into more casual looks.

From my observation, I’d personally feature loafers, boots, and heels, just as the other looks did. In turn, these looks portrayed more class due to these pairings. Of course, it was generous of Adidas to provide footwear for the show. However, the outfits would’ve presented better without trainers.
Dr. Martens, for example, was an unmatched collaborator with the looks. They provided footwear that was formal and suitable for the clothes provided. As a huge fan of Dr. Martens, I admit I am biased. However, as someone who appreciates fashion and style, I appreciate this collaborative idea of providing contemporary footwear.

Labrum London Spring 2025
Hoards of fashionable people and chic celebrities from many brands and magazines came together to celebrate the release of this collection, and I will be forever grateful that I was a part of this. At my first big show, attending as press, I was stunned by the passion and skilful insights applied to create such an exhilarating event. From the beauty of the live orchestra to the excellence and technique of the garments, I will remember this day and collection forever.
