Ah, Milan. My favourite fashion capital of the world. Yes, I’m from the UK, but London is not my favourite fashion city. In fact, I’m going to be very happy when it all comes to an end. I know that London is cool and eclectic, but I believe people only care about London because of Burberry. Everyone fiends for it. Milan Fashion Week (MFW 2024) is a different type of adoration. People who enjoy Milan do so because they genuinely appreciate the designers.

Now, I won’t be too cruel because there is something to be said for London. And that something has just been said in the previous sentence. Moving on. Quickly. The hustle and bustle, the food, the style and the creativity are taken up a notch in Milan. Could it be the weather? Or could it be the traditions of our Eastern cousins that affect what comes down the runway? Whatever the answer is, I am much more motivated by the fashion on the streets, in the stores and on the runway in Milan.

I know you are familiar with what Fashion Week is. There is a little slump and a time to calm down during London Fashion Week. Most British designers showcase in Paris, which assists the city in maintaining attention. MFW commences on the 20th of February (overlapping with London) and will end on the 26th. Though MFW 2024 begins on the 20th, the shows will be displayed from the 21st onwards. Here are the current shows for you to keep an eye on and watch in retrospect.
