Wisdom Kaye Takes High Fashion To The Next Level For The Olympics

Wisdom Kaye should realistically be crowned a superior stylist due to his neverending expertise in styling garments. His skills and talents are expressed through his many looks and extravagant outfits curated from multiple designer brands. Since I discovered his name, I have followed him closely in anticipation of his next project.

High popularity has hunted Kaye and allowed his expertise to be exposed to the world. His ever-growing name has reached heights that have handed him invitations to prestigious events and walks for brands as big as Robert Wun, a highly regarded designer. A gateway into the fashion industry has opened up for Wisdom Kaye; He is my favourite stylist, with an evident knack for colour theory, aesthetics and forms.

Across his online platforms, Kaye receives suggestions from viewers that challenge him to style various concepts and ideas. His styling series has become highly interactive, and audience members have become quite creative with their recommendations. A comment was raised on TikTok, pushing the idea of creating a styling series where Kaye styles “The whole world.”  A vague proposition such as this adds suspense to the reveal as we wait to witness Kaye’s interpretation of the phrase.

With the Olympics being held this year, it was an apparent link to involve the flags of the countries that participated in the games. Doing so meant Kaye could interpret “The whole world” by assembling garments fixed on multiple flags. Here is what he came up with.

Taking direct interpretation from the flags, the outfits are styled with matching colours and organised in similar applications. All the outfits symbolically represent the country and its cultural garments while sticking to the colour theme. Standing patriotically rather than politically, I believe Wisdom Kaye did a favourable job of addressing each country.

Palestine

The country’s political struggles make this an honourable mention within this project, and I’m glad Kaye was able to express this. I consistently reiterate that accessories are crucial due to their ability to apply detail, and in this case, they were performed to a standard of perfection. As I have mentioned, it was important to involve Palestine because of their current dire issues; to depict this, Kaye has included a gorgeous blood-stained necklace.

The necklace is a beautiful piece of jewellery that has a hue of gothic glamour vibes while holding a deeper meaning to the flag. The draping fabrics portray elegance that is expressed through the movement of flowing material, adding extravagance to the look. Avant-garde styles are made apparent with the inclusion of the head wrap and non-conformity to showing the face.

France 

Wisdom Kaye: Olympics Choice 2

Luxurious, Prestigious and a gracious representation of the French flag. This outfit serves expensive taste and exquisite style within its simple yet effective combinations. The subtle traces of red organise the colours of the flag, and the involvement of the beret adds that blatant French flare we all wanted to see. The matching tone is astounding as these beautiful colours combine to represent France regally, especially considering that it holds the title of one of the fashion capitals. One of my favourite features of this look is the detail of the upturned collar, which adds to the prestigious demeanour and elevates the blazer.

Great Britain 

Wisdom Kaye: Olympics Choice 3

Representing my home soil, the Union Jack is greatly embellished across this dynamic look. The elongated form and defined edges hold a high fashion energy while establishing the regal aspects of the UK. Further amplifying the royalty that is associated with our country, a majestic crown pin is stapled to the glorious coat. Alongside this beautiful pin, we find an attractive pair of glasses that convey further class and style, providing detail within accessorising—a much-needed final touch.

I adore the applications of the high-class heels and the chic bow, moulding together the overall outfit and reinforcing the luxurious garments. It’s giving elements of a supervillain, a person of severe hierarchy or businessman of extensive power. The colours and tones are deeply gorgeous and a replica of the Union Jack, being well structured throughout the look.

Egypt

Of course, throughout this project, my views are solely biased considering my own preferences. Regarding this outfit, I can say it is the one I’d like to wear most. It resides with me personally due to my own aesthetics and inclinations within fashion. You can immediately depict that with the scarf spread across the shoulders, it is styled in relation to a hotter country and even has Egyptian taste.

The application of the scarf around the waist follows the consistency of the flag whilst elevating the outfit tenfold due to its combination of accessories. Following the culture and amplifying the look, the golden jewellery showers the look with a sense of royalty. Kaye knows how to accessorise and does this stunningly. Unveiling the creative blend of the similarly textured boots and skirt is a gorgeous organisation of the bottom half of the look and adds a luxurious gothic flare.

Ireland

Even Though it’s becoming largely famous for masc presenting people to wear skirts now, the non-conformity of it still excites me. Therefore, I am thoroughly pleased with the addition of the tall skirt to this look. The tones identically match the flag in an efficient and coordinated way, and the juxtapositions of the colours are a fashionable aspect. Of course, the combination of colours is only due to the flag. Still, it works magnificently to create a visionary set of garments.

Overall, it serves elements of luxury and expense with the formality of styling. Details are expressed graciously through the accessories: the bow, belt, chains, and bag, collaborating to elevate this stylish creation. It is such a polished look that it reminds me of a uniform—strict yet playful.

Wisdom Kaye never ceases to amaze me with his established projects, forever thrilling me with his talents. This series has revealed an astounding line of looks that screams chic and luxurious. Sticking on brand and following the brief, I believe Kaye hit the nail on the head whilst staying patriotic to all countries included.
