In addition to the fashion shows in Milan, presentations offer another opportunity to spot new talent. Of course, Fendi and Prada are ones to watch every season, but they’re not the only ones attracting fashion lovers to the capital for SS26 MFW.

Loro Piana, Brunello Cuccinelli, and JW Anderson all have robust influence in the business. All three presented collections during Milan Fashion Week but, like those of Fendi and Prada, fell flat.

The lack of traction among bloggers suggests the world isn’t interested in high fashion as it once was. An editor’s job is to democratise the information seeping from SS26 MFW. I can’t ignore the stiff competition from other industries and economic developments when fighting for audience engagement. Surprisingly, when we polled our audience about Milan Fashion Week updates, 66.7% of respondents said “Yes, keep me posted”. They don’t only care about the big highlights. And therein lies what we are missing. What the audience is missing. A reliable account of what’s happening in Milan.
