If you keep count, we’re already three days into the fall-winter fashion show season for 2024. You probably already know what Fashion Week is. If not, it is a week-long event featuring runway shows and pop-up events where designers showcase their upcoming collections. This Fashion Week in New York, in short, is NYFW 2024.

The top five most high-profile designers to showcase during New York Fashion Week (NYFW) are Jason Wu, Cucculelli Shaheen, LaQuan Smith, Brandon Maxwell and Proenza Schouler. Other designers I like to watch are Ulla Johnson, Eckhaus Latta and Dion Lee because their collections are often practical. Consider Jacquemus for a moment; its collections are never tied to a particular season, but rather to a mood.

Everything you buy from a high street store begins with the runway. Most of the things you’ll likely wear during the colder months are what you should keep your eyes on as the shows take place. Sometimes, a designer may showcase a look that isn’t practical for the colder months, which is also peculiar. NYFW commenced on the 9th of February and will end on the 14th of February. Here are the current shows and events in the lineup curated for you to keep an eye on and watch in retrospect.
