Top Five Instas We Actually Love For Editorial Makeup
While a slick of brow gel and dab of concealer tends to be the vibe these days, we’ll always have a soft spot for editorial makeup. Anything that looks a little too out there to wear out of the house has a special place in my heart. And some of the greatest editorial makeup inspiration can be found on Instagram (aka Insta). Here are my top five favourite accounts to follow.
Best Insta: @beautsoup
For Editorial Makeup: Molly
Beautsoup, run by an MUA called Molly, cleverly straddles the line between typical glam makeup and editorial vibes. Her makeup is always undeniably pretty above all else. Think cut creases, highlighter, false lashes and all your typical Instagram fare. But she always includes an interesting, unique twist that takes her looks to the next level.

Best Insta: @coolgirlswearmugler
For Editorial Makeup: Regina
Coolgirlswearmugler This account favours close-up eye shots, typically packed with glitter and gloss. Each look has an artfully messy vibe, giving her looks a Jackson Pollock edge. She uses techniques such as dripping, smudging and dotting to add texture to her makeup looks.

@hudabeautyshop the new nude palette
Best Insta: @violette_fr
For Editorial Makeup: Violette
Violette is a French MUA and the Estee Lauder global beauty director. Her account is full of fantastic twists on simple looks, elevating no-makeup-makeup. The looks are interesting, clever and always, always cool. Think of a simple base with giant, powder-blue eyeliner wings or blurred-out neon lipstick.

Best Insta: @tatianaroseart
For Editorial Makeup: Tatiana
What really stands out about Tatiana’s account is her use of colour and texture. There is nothing off limits – five different shades of eyeshadow, dripping, wet-look lips and even the inclusion of props like tinsel. If you feel your makeup has become a little lacklustre, this is the perfect account to find the inspiration you can actually incorporate.

Best Insta: @dausell
For Editorial Makeup: Marie
Marie Dausell’s looks are often deceptively simple, but when you take a closer look, her true artistry becomes apparent. There’s always something innovative and fascinating going on, from glued-on tiny beads to a Monet-esque impressionistic blush and eyeshadow application.
