Party Your Way Into Christmas With What To Wear This Year

The Christmas party is literally a few days away. We don’t have any time to waste so let’s get straight into it!
The Little Black Dress
An LBD is a wardrobe necessity and a cult classic for a ‘Christmas do’. The best part is that they come in so many different styles. This means that the perfect LBD is without a formula, definition, or rigid set of rules. Truly the best way to find the perfect one for your own personal style. The Little Black Dress is, therefore, a safe and reliable option for this year’s Christmas party which by no means has to be boring; it is a confidence-boosting look for any occasion.
Some of my favourite LBDs of the moment include:
Reformation’s ‘Christine’ Dress

This flirty and feminine look is a perfect Little Black Dress for this year’s Christmas party as the playful silhouette creates a flattering frame that is far from boring. Additionally, the tie-straps allow for an adjustable look and adds some intricate detailing to the dress.
Zara’s ‘Short Satin Dress’

For a classic LBD, look no further than your local Zara. This satin mini-dress features a flattering cowl-neck and a low-back to give the simple look plenty to talk about. Not only is this piece a beautiful party dress, but it is also a wardrobe staple that everybody needs.
Opt for a Suit
I personally feel that there is no better way to stun at a Christmas party than choosing to style a suit for the occasion. Celebrities such as Zendaya and Cara Delevingne can be seen as the epitome of powerful women stealing the show in suits if you are in need of some inspiration.

There are so many options regarding the fit (oversized, fitted or flared) and the styling (to shirt or not to shirt?) that the look is completely customisable to your comfort and confidence, plus the added warmth of the look is always a practical bonus. For this festive season, I would recommend Mango’s ‘Fitted Essential Suit Jacket’ and ‘Belt Suit Trousers’.

This vibrant red suit just screams Christmas party. The fitted silhouette is chic and elegant, but this style combines with the bold colour palette to create the perfect look for parties this festive season. This look could be styled modestly with a blouse underneath the blazer or if you are feeling braver could be worn alone.
Personally, I would allow the suit to be the statement piece of the look and just pair it with a dainty necklace, some barely-there heels and some bolder earrings.
Festive Colours – A Classic Red or A Festive Green?
Is it really a Christmas party if you haven’t considered how you are going to incorporate red into your outfit? If you want to maximise festivity in your outfit then incorporating red is a great way to do so. Whether you go all out with a red monochromatic look or just choose to opt for a red lip; red is a party staple for the festive season.
Alternatively, I find that green is a beautiful alternative to red when opting for a more seasonally appropriate colour. Deep emerald green is universally flattering and not as bold as red if incorporating colour is not your usual look.
If emerald green is your new colour for this Christmas, Wolf and Badger’s ‘Tulum Cowl Neck Satin Ankle Dress’ is the perfect party dress for you. The full-length gown is elegant and simple; allowing the rich colour to do the talking.
