Chloé Ready-to-Wear Fall Winter 2021

Just Watch the 2021 FW Show

The cobbled stones of Paris have seen their fair share of beautiful women. However, it’s nothing like this. A fashion show opened by a black model with natural hair hasn’t been done in a long time. A huge fashion house like Chloé often doesn’t get the praise that it deserves. We’re here today to show you that praise.

The show was opened by Vic Ishimwe in a striped cashmere blanket. It shaped the collection which was all about sustainability and a commitment to the greater good. Cashmere and wool were featured materials used in this collection by creative director Gabriela Hearst.

Fall (Autumn) / Winter

The fall season is all about leaves falling off the trees, signalling the end of a season. This inspires autumn fashion with a wave of earthy and neutral tones. For example, green is an earthy tone, but the leaves tend to be military green. During autumn, leaves will either be brown or yellow. This is why you will see these colours take precedence in many fashion lovers’ closets.

As winter comes straight after fall (autumn in the UK), the day becomes shorter. The sun will begin to set at around 4 PM, and we will have the street lights on at around 5 PM. Every corner will be filled with shadows and lights from up above. This is imitated in many fashion closets through the use of black. Black is used in global closets all year round, but it is in the month of December, January, and February that it is mainly used. Chloé has used leather and maxi skirts to justify the shades during the winter months.

29 looks graced the Chloé catwalk in Paris, and they were all immaculate. Directed by Alexandre De Betak, we went back to the roots of the fashion house. Chloé was founded by Gaby Aghion. It is said that Gaby would invite her guests to view her earlier collections outside Left Bank locales such as Café de Flore and Brasserie Lipp.

Paris truly does come alive at nighttime, and worth the wait once Chloé shows up with a new collection. As a fashion house, Chloé is on the affordable end. Many key pieces are under £1000, which as you may know is the norm for luxury goods. Watch the Chloe show here.
