Yesterday, the Vivienne Westwood team on Twitter announced that Dame Vivienne Westwood had died. Vivienne was responsible for shaking up the high fashion industry with her punk rock designs, a far cry from the designers who dominated in France and Italy at the time.

Tribute to Vivienne’s Anglomanic Collection
A user expressed how much they enjoyed Vivienne’s fall-winter 1993 collection. Full of fur and plaid, the collection was a punk treat.

Friendly Neighbourhood Designer
Another user on Twitter explained that they and Vivienne worked in the same part of the city. She was regularly seen cycling in her red cape and distinguishing red hair!

Her London office was close to mine so I’d see her all the time going by bike. I remember spotting her red hair from afar as she circled Berkeley Square, weaving around stationary taxis in an enormous tartan cape. RIP pic.twitter.com/yPvq0gsPf0

Charlotte Tilbury shares a sweet image of Vivienne Westwood in her youth on a bike.
