Barefaced Selfies From Megan Thee Stallion

This week, rap star Megan Thee Stallion gave us three lovely barefaced selfies to enjoy. In a bid to enjoy the new season, she decided to go makeup-free. That got us thinking. With the seasonal change and brighter days ahead, going make-up free has its benefits. There are so many new products being launched into the beauty sphere that it’s almost impossible to make a choice. Moreover, the hot weather can sometimes put you off wearing makeup.
On hot days, the only thing on the top of the to-do list is to find hydration. Whether that be in the form of a cool shade or a beverage, we’re all searching for it. Going barefaced helps with ventilation because you’re not worrying about staying neat. When you wear makeup, you have to be careful with the way you act. If you move too quickly, you will sweat. If you express your emotions too much, your makeup will crease. There is also the risk that you forget you’re wearing makeup and you touch your face with dirty hands.
Comparatively though, there is a certain grace that you adorn when you wear makeup. It acts as an extra layer of tailoring to your look of the day. You’re less likely to move quickly because you know what’s at stake, and more likely to plan ahead. You appear to be more tidy and ready for the day. The only horrible part is the end of the day when you have to remove your makeup.
But removing your makeup isn’t all bad. It’s a simple skincare routine that needs to come to the rescue. Had you not worn makeup, you could’ve saved time and gone straight to bed. There is certainly a natural beauty to going makeup-free. Check out the Stallion’s photos on Twitter below.
