The popular Medusa Aevitas Platform Pumps. These shoes have been out for approximately one year. They were first introduced to us in a virtual working world by Donatella Versace. These pumps were unveiled during the Fall/Winter 2021 show.
As we have all had a serious case of cabin fever lately due to the pandemic, we were left using digital devices to see what designers wanted us to wear. We are days away from the Fall/Winter 2022 Versace collection and we know what that means.
Oversized coats, sky-high platform boots and bold colours. As soon as the collection was released we saw stars such as Ariana Grande and Addison Rae adorn the collection. Both stars wore the Avevitas pumps after they were released, with the TikTok star arriving at the SS 2022 show, and the singer posing on Instagram.
The collection was a huge hit with celebrities who wore the items before they were available to the public.
The difficulty comes from not one but two platforms. Donatella is known for making five to six-inch heels an everyday staple. The truth is that we can’t all walk in heels all day, much less if they are five inches! The benefit to these shoes though is that they are platformed. This means that whilst you won’t be able to wear them all day, they’re much more comfortable than stilettos.
Never fear, these Aevitas platforms can be dressed up with anything. They have rhinestones emblazoned on the strap for added glamour.
